Dr. Marcela Farfan is the Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She began her academic journey at Bergen Community College and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University. Dr. Farfan also earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Felician University. In 2018, she opened her private practice, Mindful Living Counseling and Wellness Center. Dr. Farfan adopts a mindfulness-based approach that highlights the unique strengths of each client.

Dr. Nouriman Ghahary is a counseling psychologist who holds a Ph.D. degree. She is also an associate professor of psychology and the director of clinical training for the Psy.D. Program in counseling psychology at Felician University. Dr. Ghahary completed her Ph.D. in counseling psychology at Seton Hall University in 2003. Her therapy approach is focused on development and utilizes the bio-psycho-social approach, as well as a Cognitive-Behavioral orientation. She works with individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dr. Ghahary has received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and applies its principles in her treatment approach.

Ruby Martinez is a first year Doctoral Student currently studying to earn her Psy.D. at Felician. Ruby earned her Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Masters in Counseling Psychology at Felician University. As a proud Golden Falcon, Ruby is excited to expand her knowledge and serve her community. Ruby works as a counselor for the Hispanic population in New Jersey. Ruby enjoys going dancing with her friends, eating dinners with her family, going to the gym and writing in her spare time.

Elizabeth (Liz) Belford is a first year Doctoral Student currently studying to earn her Psy.D. at Felician. Liz earned her Bachelors in Psychology from The New School and her Masters in Clinical and Counseling Psychology at William Paterson University. Liz works as a counselor and intake specialist for the Substance Use population in New Jersey. Liz enjoys reading in her spare time, hanging out with her family and friends and playing with her dog, Lilly.
